Monday Morning Sports Report- Week of Sept 26

Grade 8:
1. Gr 8 Girls Volleyball, coached by Mrs. Noakes and Sr star player Summer Lee, came up a little short to WG, they lost a tough last set to lose 3-2, they have a game against DW Poppy, where they hope to get back to .500
2. Gr. 8/9 Boys Soccer, coached by Mr. Justin Rettig, lost a tough exhibition game against Aldergrove’s Grade 10 team, 3-1. Jake Honey had a great game with a goal, and three breakaways. They will have a couple of practices this week, in preparation for their rival game vs Langley Fundamental on Oct. 3
3. Gr. 8 Cross Country runner Andrew Meier finished top 5 last week, and looks to crack the top 3 in today’s race.
1. Jr Girls Volleyball, coached by Mrs. Hind, had a competitive tourney at TWU. They will be hosting Langley Christian on Wednesday this week.


1. Senior boys soccer, coached by Mr. Hunter, look forward to opening their season with a home game against Langley Christian. Led by captains Jesse Seward and Bennett Skilling, the Bobcats look to defend their title of Fraser Valley champions from last season in the competitive Langley division. Kick off is at 3:30 this Tuesday at home.
2. Senior Girls Volleyball, coached by Erin Day. The girls played in the TWU tournament this weekend at the Langley Events Centre and proudly placed first in the Silver Tier with 5 wins and 1 loss. This week the Sr’s will play their first League game Tuesday at Mouat at 7pm. When you see the girls wearing their Jerseys on Game Days, give them a high five and wish them luck!
3. Sr Cross-Country, coached by Mr. Allingham, has a meet today. Louise Forsyth came 1st at last weeks race.
