Township of Langley Councillor (and BSS alumni) Michael Pratt came in to speak to Ms. Glover’s Political Studies class this week!
BSS participated at the Cloverdale Bedraces last night!! The Girls came in 2nd and the Boys put up a valiant effort and were knocked out by a photo finish just before the finals. Our teams won best dressed and received a trophy and passes to the rodeo! Congratulations!
The Aboriginal Program hosted the eleventh annual Aboriginal Achievement Awards on Thursday. It was a powerful evening celebrating Indigenous students and honouring them for their accomplishments. Some of the award categories included academics, athletics, fine arts, and “warrior,” which is an honour for a student who shows courage and strength in the face of adversity. As well, special recognition was given to the “Golden Eagles.” A golden eagle is a graduating student moving on to their next phase in life. Congratulations to all of our students recognized last night!
